And they managed to buy a base model Ford Fiesta’s worth of iPhones, iPads and jewelry using my info.
Filing police reports and dealing with various fraud agencies is boring, yo.

Damn, they could have at least tried to be creative. 500 acres in a desert to set up an elephant refuge, shipments of sex toys, rare truffles, celebrity hair clippings...

The two iPhones and the iPad purchased through (and remotely locked by) Verizon wound up in the UAE somewhere.
I assume the $9500 worth of gold chains purchased at Kay Jewelers were taken straight to a cash for gold place.
No idea what happened with the full-line iOS purchase they made at Sprint, though.

Here’s some info about what happened from the other side.
The original source gets your data from skimmers or data leaks, then they sell it to someone (the actual fraudster) who can make a fake credit card, ID, and utility bill using your information. They go into the jewelry store with a fake utility bill in your name from your address, fake identity, and the fake CC. They then just buy the item or take out a massive loan. They then pawn it off to either a fence (not common) or a cash based business that doesn’t ask questions.
This is one of the 3 or so ways that they can cash out on stolen information. This one is the most likely one to result in an actual arrest, since they have to show their face in order for it to work. You’re lucky they didn’t utilize the “fake eBay ad” method, because that is almost impossible to catch if the thief is halfway competent.

Why use a stolen identity to buy a Ford Fiesta of goods when you can buy this lightly used Cadillac ATS instead?

They never buy stuff that I would be even remotely interested in. Had this happen on eBay about 10 years ago.
And of course due to civil employee negligence (DoD and office of personnel management have lost my social at least 3-4 times now), I have had to take steps to keep my identity and financial information extremely private.
Good luck and hopefully they catch the lame ass bastard.

Today I learned about how long my attention span is. I just read “buy a base model Fiesta” and I was like why didn't they buy a Fiesta ST at least.
